West Wind Stables offers summer camps for all levels of riders.  Please see our selection below to pick the one that is right for you!  Campers should bring lots of enthusiasm and willingness to try new things!

Beginner & Novice Camp

Beginner & novice camp offers one ride per day.  Ages 8-16.  No horse experience necessary; campers with some previous experience on trail rides or summer camps are welcome and will be grouped accordingly. Campers will learn safety and horse handling, grooming and saddling.  Each day includes a one hour lesson, learning the basics of steering, stopping, walking, and building up to trotting.  The other half of the day campers will make new friends and play games with the horses!

English Advanced Camp

Advanced Camp offers two rides per day.  Ages 13 and up.  Campers attending are expected to be able to groom, saddle, and bridle without supervision and comfortably control a canter. Each day includes one class of flatwork and one over fences. Other activities include learning about stable management, first aid, nutrition, bandaging and course designing.  Geared to riders with some miles in the saddle.

Adults Only

 Adult half day horse getaway, because adults deserve horse time too!  This special offer includes 4 half days(10am-2pm) of relaxed riding.  A light lunch is included each day after the rides.  Take the time to have a horsey holiday!

Camps are run by Equine Canada certified Instructors and Coaches.  Horses will be ridden in English equipment; please notify us if you wish to ride Western.  All activities will be tailored to the ability levels of the campers at the coach’s discretion.
